Hillbilly Days Forecast

Thousands of people will be heading to downtown Pikeville over the next several days for Hillbilly Days 2014. Here is what you can expect for the festival.

Thursday Night – Friday: A cold front will move this way from the west. This will bring an increase in cloud cover late with showers likely holding off until the early morning hours.

By Friday morning, the front will be located in central Kentucky and will be heading toward the east. This will be when we see the best chance of rain.

As the front moves out of the area, it will take the clouds and rain with it. We should see some sun by the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the mid 70’s.

Saturday: It should be a nice day for the last day of Hillbilly Days and for the parade. With mostly sunny skies, temperatures will be in the low 70’s.

Hillbilly

Next week looks soggy and cooler as an area of low pressure camps out across the eastern half of the country. I will have more over the next few days.
